Review of STEPBROTHER DEAREST by Penelope Ward

Author: Penelope Ward
Publication Date: September 23rd 2014
Source: Kindle Edition

You’re not supposed to want the one who torments you.

When my stepbrother, Elec, came to live with us my senior year, I wasn’t prepared for how much of a jerk he’d be.

I hated that he took it out on me because he didn’t want to be here.
I hated that he brought girls from our high school back to his room.
But what I hated the most was the unwanted way my body reacted to him.

At first, I thought all he had going for him were his rock-hard tattooed abs and chiseled face. But things started changing between us, and it all came to a head one night.

Then, just as quickly as he’d come into my life, he was gone back to California.

It had been years since I’d seen Elec.

When tragedy struck our family, I’d have to face him again.

And holy hell, the teenager who made me crazy was now a man that drove me insane.

I had a feeling my heart was about to get broken again.

My Review
To all my fellow readers out there, if you haven’t read this yet you need to buy it immediately and read it straight away, it is absolutist AMAZING!!
I  fell in love with this story right from the start.
It starts with Greta awaiting the arrival of her stepbrother, whom she has never met. And boy when she does meet him she is in for a shock. He is arrogant, cocky and sexy as hell.
Elec does not want to be there, but as his mother is working in London, he has to spend the rest of the year with his dad.
From there a beautiful and tension filled story unfolds.

This story sucks you in and sends you on a roller-coaster of emotions.
I devoured this book, once you start reading you cannot stop, i only moved to feed my children and use the bathroom.

This book was written from both POV’s and in two parts and the writing flowed so perfectly that the combination is everything you want in a book, making it perfect.
Stepbrother Dearest is in my top ten favourite books of this year.
