Review for AFTER by Anna Todd
There was the time before Tessa met Hardin, and then there’s everything AFTER … Life will never be the same…
Tessa is a good girl with a sweet, reliable boyfriend back home. She’s got direction, ambition, and a mother who’s intent on keeping her that way.
But she’s barely moved into her freshman dorm when she runs into Hardin. With his tousled brown hair, cocky British accent, tattoos, and lip ring, Hardin is cute and different from what she’s used to.
But he’s also rude—to the point of cruelty, even. For all his attitude, Tessa should hate Hardin. And she does—until she finds herself alone with him in his room. Something about his dark mood grabs her, and when they kiss it ignites within her a passion she’s never known before.
He’ll call her beautiful, then insist he isn’t the one for her and disappear again and again. Despite the reckless way he treats her, Tessa is compelled to dig deeper and find the real Hardin beneath all his lies. He pushes her away again and again, yet every time she pushes back, he only pulls her in deeper.
Tessa already has the perfect boyfriend. So why is she trying so hard to overcome her own hurt pride and Hardin’s prejudice about nice girls like her?
Unless…could this be love?
I picked up this book because i loved the cover, and then i read the synopsis and thought i’d give a go. I had no idea it was One Direction fan-fic.
Tessa is a good wholesome 18 year old girl, with a 17 year old boyfriend Noah, with all intentions of getting through college and finding the job of her dreams in Seattle. Then she meets Hardin, who is the most rude, obnoxious, cruel guy you could ever meet.
Hardin is the guy you should hate in every way possible but you find yourself being slowly pulled in.
If you love dark and twisted alpha males you will love this fantastic story of love, hate, secrets and lies, this book is for you, and if not, give it a go and it will definitely change your mind.
I’ve had the biggest book hangover ever after reading this book. I loved it, this book series is my favourite so far this year, and in my top 5 all time favourites. I have read the other two books in this series, and i’m impatiently waiting for the final installment, so i can’t really say too much without giving anything away.
On a scale of 1 – 5 stars i give this book 6 stars, i can’t give it enough praise, it’s just that FREAKING AWESOME.
I will be recommending this book to everyone
